On January 11, 2017, the Government of Kerala issued G.O.(Rt) No. 05/2017/ITD, granting
Administrative Sanction for the "Skill Delivery Platform of Kerala" project. This initiative aims
to establish a robust technology-enabled learning platform that connects all 150 Engineering
colleges in Kerala with IT parks via a Tele-presence network. The primary objective of the
project is to facilitate the remote delivery of high-quality skills programs, bridging the gap
between academia and industry.
To achieve this, the project will implement a dedicated network backbone, Telepresence
solution, and Learning Management System. The envisioned outcome is the creation of 150 Hi-
Tech classrooms across Engineering colleges in the state, collectively capable of providing skills
training to approximately 50,000 students annually. The Skill Delivery Platform aspires to
leverage state-of-the-art technology to empower learners with industry-relevant skills, enhancing
their employability prospects in the job market.
Our college's SDPK center is well-equipped with 60 Laptops featuring Interactive Boards and
Video Conferencing Solutions. This facility is dedicated to exploring, experimenting,
implementing, and evaluating various software technologies that enable the development of a
diverse array of emerging applications. The center places a strong emphasis on hands-on
experience and practical learning in this field.
