The IEEE Student Branch of GCEK came into existence on 5 th June 2009. Since then we have conducted several programs for the benefit of students.

The Student Branch is conducting a weekly seminar program where students present a paper for 45 minutes. This is conducted every week on Friday from 1.00 pm to 2.00 pm. The aim of this program is to provide a platform to students so that they get an experience in talking in front of an audience. In addition to the seminar program the students meet regularly on Monday evening to discuss matters related to IEEE and Student Branch.

The IEEE Head Quarters is regularly conducting contests in various category in which students can participate. These are conducted globally and the students get a chance to compete with students from Universities from other parts of the world.

The Circuits And System Society had announced a Global Project Design Contest in July 2016. We had submitted an entry and it got selected from India. It went to the next phase, the results are yet to be announced.
