All the labs in the department are equipped with all equipment needed for the course. Some of the lab facilities are :
The lab is equipped with all materials needed for electrical wiring circuits. Students are introduced to various wiring materials, their specifications, and also get trained to wire up simple circuits of lamps controlled by switches and prepare an estimate of the materials required. Other accessories required with installation such as MCB / ELCB etc. are also familiarized here. The lab is also equipped with meggar and insulation tester required for testing of installations.
The lab is equipped with various types of electrical measuring instruments like Wheatstones Bridge, Kelvins Double Bridge, Scherings bridge , Slide wire and students potentiometers, vernier potentiometers, Phase shifting transformers, lux meters etc. The basic theorems in Electrical Engineering are experimentally verified in this lab. Students are trained in calibration of voltmeters, ammeters & watt meters using potentiometers and calibration of energy meters at various power factors by direct and phantom loading. Magnetic measurements like B-H curve & measurement of coupling coefficient are also done here.
The lab is equipped with various types of DC machines like series, shunt and compound generators & motors, AC machines like three phase slip ring and squirrel cage induction motors, 1- Ø induction motors, pole changing motors, synchronous generators, 1-Ø and 3- Ø transformers, etc. Students get an insight into the wide array of electrical machines and study their characteristics. Speed control of the machines is also practiced here. Special machines such as repulsion motor are also available in the lab
The lab is equipped with all electronic components, CRO’s , Digital IC tester, Universal Device Programmer etc. The study of characteristics of basic electronic devices like diodes, transistors, UJT, FET clipping & clamping circuits are done in this lab. The lab is also used for the Digital Electronics lab course, where logic gates, adder & subtractor circuits and counters are familiarized. The lab also provides facilities for advanced electronic circuit design and implementation. New generation electronic devices like digital storage oscilloscope are also available for the analysis of OPAMP and digital systems.
The lab is equipped with AC & DC Servomotors, DC Motor Controller With Motor , PID controllers, magnetic amplifiers, LVDTs, synchro transmitter- receiver , 8085 and 8086 microprocessor kits, interfacing devices like DAC, ADC, audio tape interface, stepper motor interfaces and Power Quality Analyzers etc. The students get acquainted with the concept of programming with microprocessor kits & interfacing circuits in this lab. The characteristics of servomotors & magnetic amplifiers are also studied here.
The departmental computer lab is equipped with two high end servers and forty numbers of desktop computers, connected in LAN. In addition to the laser, inkjet and dot matrix printers, the lab also has scanners, CD writers and a Xerox machine.
This also serves as the software lab for the final year students. Software like MATLAB, Multisim and SKM power tools are installed in the systems. Programming with ‘C’, MATLAB, SIMULINK, PSPICE etc are included in the course work. The students get ample opportunity to use these software.for regular as well as project works.

The lab is equipped with MOSFET,IGBT,SCR and TRIAC Modules, SCR based controlled rectifier trainer kit , Mosfet based dc- dc converter trainer kit , Mosfet based isolated dc- dc converter trainer kit etc. Study of the characteristics of various power devices like SCR, BJT, MOSFET, IGBT etc., are done here. Experiments on Buck & Boost converters, Switched mode power supply& cyclo converters are also done here. The lab is also used for project work by UG & PG students.
In addition to the central Library, the department has a separate library which issues books exclusively to the EEE students. The library has a collection of about 1000 books. Students passing out from the college also contribute books to the department library for the benefit of the juniors , thus increasing the number of books every year. Being very near to the classrooms, the library is utilized very well by the students.
