The Department of Applied Science and Mathematics was established in October
1986 concurrently with the establishment of the college. Although the department is not
offering any course, it is engaged in teaching fundamental subjects such as Mathematics,
Physics, Chemistry and Humanities subjects to B. Tech students. The department strives to
instill the scientific temper and spirit of enquiry in students. It encourages the students to
understand and therefore apply the physical laws to the development of their fields of study.
The department is committed to inculcate competence and proficiency in the students in the field of basic sciences, technology and personality development so that they can think critically and logically, communicate clearly and think ethically.
To develop a strong scientific foundation through fundamental principles of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry to pursue a successful engineering career
and to train the students to apply these principles in real world situations.
To inculcate extra ordinary analytical, logical, soft skill and ethical values in
students to make them ready for corporate world.
