As Enterprises migrate toward controller based architectures, the role and skills required of a core network engineer are evolving and more vital than ever. To prepare for this network transition, the knowledge in Routing and Switching is an essential things. Networking technologies underlie all IT activities and a strong comprehension of the hardware and protocols used to create networks is essential to future success. In this course, you will learn how to configure a workstation to connect to a network, analyze network traffic using a protocol analyzer, examine switch and router configurations, perform basic IPv4 addressing and subnetting, and research network security solutions.
Objectives of the Programme: To expose the faculty to different areas of practical networking like, ● Design and implementation of a practical network. ● Install, configure and operate routers and switches. ● Troubleshoot medium scale networks comprising of Cisco equipment. ● Working with wide area networks (WAN) and having knowledge of WAN concepts and terminologies. ● Implementing and verifying connections between remote sites existing in a Wide Area Network. ● Mitigate basic security threats faced by a network.
- The training programme is open to all faculties, System Analyst/Computer Programmer and Technical Staff from Government, Aided, Self Financing Engineering Colleges and Polytechnic Colleges. The total number of participants is limited to 30.
- There is no registration fee for the course
- Working lunch, Tea and snacks will be provided for all participants during the days of the workshop. TA will be provided as per Govt. norms to faculty and staff from Govt. / Govt. Aided institutions. Accommodation can be arranged on request.
