About PEREA-2019:

The main motto of the Faculty Development Program (FDP), “Power Electronics for Renewable Energy Applications (PEREA)-2019” is to provide the platform for the upcoming engineers/researchers who are willing to work in the areas of – Renewable Energy Sources and potential  Power electronics for fuel cell integration  Wind energy conversion system  MPPT for solar PV system  Energy storage systems  Solar PV inverters.

The importance of power electronics has grown over the years due to several factors. Power electronics is interdisciplinary in nature and is used in a wide variety area of Power conversion, Power modulation, Electric Drives, Power Quality in Power Systems and Renewable Energy systems etc. This FDP is designed to address applications of power electronics in the industry and to encourage various zonal professionals /research scholars/ academicians towards research and for their Academic Quality Improvement too. This course will offer a unique opportunity to all for colonizing the relevant topics in Power Electronics applications to come closer through theoretical sessions and experiments/ demonstrations.

About the host Department:

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering offers a UG program of B.Techin Electrical & Electronics Engineering (accredited by NBA) and a post graduate M.Tech course in Power Electronics and Drives. It also offers doctoral program under the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University.

A centre of quality education in Electrical Engineering and enrich the youth with sound technical knowledge to intellectually power tomorrow’s world in the service of humanity.

Mission of the Department:

To elevate the infrastructural facilities and impart latest technical knowledge and competency to the students, enabling them to take up a successful career in industry, research and academia or as an entrepreneur, thus contributing to the overall development of the society.

Registration & General Information:

In order to apply for the FDP, a DTE candidate has to follow a two-step procedure as given below

1. Create an account in the Training Management System (TMS) portal through the DTE site:

2. Apply online through this portal for this particular FDP from the list of all courses organized under DTE

TA/DA, Food and Accommodation:

Working lunch, Tea and snacks will be provided for all participants during the days of FDP TA/DA will be provided as per Govt. norms to faculty from Govt. /Aided institutions on actual expense basis. Accommodation will be arranged for outstation candidates on request.
